BRASH, Alan Godfrey - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 14th, 2008 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Mona Brash (McGeachie) residing at Peterborough Manor. Son of the late Isaac and Agnes Brash. Predeceased by his first wife Mary Jane Wallace in 1988. Dear brother of the late Leonard Brash and his twin sisters Dorothy Miller and Lillian Carter of Vancouver. He will be truly missed by his brother in law Gary (Linda) Wallace and his nephew Owen Brash. Alan was born in Oshawa January 16th; 1923. He served his country in the Army during WW2 for two years, before returning to work at General Motors. He also worked for Dowty Equipment of Ajax manufacturing the CF 100 and 105 Arrow undercarriages before joining Andrew Antenna in Whitby in 1965 and retired from there in 1989 as Manager of production control. Alan’s community involvement included being a longtime member of OACETT where he held positions of Secretary/Treasurer, Vice Chair and Chairman over a twenty year span. He was also Invigilator for Law and Ethics exams at Sir Sandford Fleming College. His real loves were being an avid golfer (member at Ayren Links Golf Club), country dancing, carpentry, travel and he enjoyed spending time with young people. Resting at the ARMSTRONG

WRIGHT, Colin Mower - Peacefully, on May 14, 2008 in the
91st year of his life, with his family by his side. Loving husband
of the late Alice (nee Wyllie) Beloved father of Elaine ( Bud Clark) and
Kathy ( Nathan Hillier). Proud and cherished "Bamp" to Matt, Sara,
Braydon, and Victoria. Survived by his dear sister Marj Pearson,
and predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. Fondly remembered by
his extended family and friends. His greatest joy was time spent with those
he loved and cared for and his love and wisdom will be us always.
In keeping with Dad's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral, cremation
has taken place. Interment of his ashes will be held at a later date
and a tree will be planted in his memory at the Ajax waterfront, a place
where he loved to walk. A special thank you for the care and respect
that he recieved from the wonderful staff at Ballycliffe Lodge. Donations

SMITH, Roberta (nee Skinner) - In Vancouver, British Columbia, after
receiving a kidney transplant, Robbie passed away unexpectedly at the age
of 61. Robbie was a loving, devoted wife and best friend of Ron.
A past L.C.B.O. employee, Robbie will be remembered by all as a caring,
warm hearted and loving person who always had a warm hug for anyone that
needed it. She had a zest for life, a great sense of humour and a
positive outlook in the wake of illness and difficult times. She
touched everyone she met and we are fortunate for having her in our lives.

He was born on July 31, 1924 in the village of Lansing Ontario, the eldest child of Zelia Robitaille and Roy Dickey. Bernard spent the early part of his life in Midland until moving to Oshawa in 1941, where he met and married on Sept 6, 1947, the love of his life, Joan Alice Nash who predeceased him in 2007. Beloved father to daughter Sharon and husband Fred Cully,son James and his wife Paty and daughter Susan. Grandfather to Evelio, Mauricio, Heidi, Becki, Jamie and Joshua. He worked at General Motors for over 30 years as a Systems Analyst. He joined the Canadian Army in 1943 and served overseas,being discharged in 1946. Over the past 54 years he helped many generations of people to water ski at Clover Leaf Cottages on Oxtongue Lake. Scout Leader for many years of the 9th Oshawa Scout Troop of St. Gregory's Church.
