Passed peacefully in the loving embrace of her family on Monday, March 31st, 2008 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.  Born August 27th, 1958 in Toronto, Ontario, Kerrie goes to join her father Ken who predeceased her.  She carries with her the undying love of her mother Doris, her brother Scott and her sisters Tracey (Lloyd) and Kyle (Brian), her niece Lindsey (Shane), and her nephews, Anthony, Spencer, Tyler and Connor.  Kerrie looks forward to watching over her family and especially her new nephew Jackson.  Kerrie had a special place in her heart for her Aunt Bush and Uncle Tom, her Aunt Dorelle and her life-long friend Darlene. 

She is also survived by her many aunt, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.  Kerrie will be remembered by all for her great sense of humor, her positive outlook and her selflessness as she battled her illness.  Kerrie, we love you and are truly fortunate for having you in our lives.  Your heart will go on forever.  Kerrie wishes that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre.

Born in Malta and passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on March 31, 2008.  Her greatest gift in life were her late husband Sam and her five children Maria (predeceased) Mike, Joe (Sharon) Mary and Charlie (Mary Rose).  Cherished Nana to Brian, Lori, Melissa and Michael and great-grandmother of seven children.  Lovingly remembered by her youngest brother Joe (Australia) and nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by sisters Mary Lela, Guzeppa and brother Mike (all from Malta).  Respecting Jane's wishes a private burial will be held for family.  If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Jane's memory.

At the age of 84 years, after a short illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on March 31, 2008, with friends by his side. Predeceased by his parents, Adolf and Auguste, and his beloved sister, Magdalene.  Heinz was retired from General Motors where he worked for 34 years as a tool and die maker.

He was a founding member of the German club in Oshawa (Club Loreley) and an active member of the Scarborough Camera Club for many years where his photos consistently won awards of distinction.  Although he was an ardent hiker and keen world traveller who was always expanding his breadth of knowledge, much of his spare time was spent at his cottage on Lake Kasshabog.  Heinz will be dearly missed by Klaus (brother-in-law) and Christa and family in Germany and by his many friends in Canada and the United States.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King St. East, Oshawa on Saturday April 19, 2008 at 2 p.m.  Donations to the Cardio-Pulmonary Diagnostics, Lakeridge Health Oshawa would be gratefully appreciated

Evelyn passed away peacefully on March 31st in her 75th year.

Evelyn was the most caring, warm hearted and loving person you could hope to meet.  Her lasting gift was to be a loving mother to her children and the greatest of partners to Victor, her husband of 52 years.  Evelyn was passionate about life’s everyday pleasures – a childhood in Minett (Muskoka) lead her to savour the great outdoors which she shared with many friends and family throughout her life.  She led an enthusiastic, athletic life enjoying skiing, curling and held a particular passion for golf.  The last 17 winters were enjoyed RVing extensively through the USA.

Evelyn’s gentle warmth, love and companionship will be so greatly missed by husband Victor, daughters Donna (Phil), Jo-Anne (Jon) Karen (Mike), grandchildren Amanda, Sean, Laura, great grandson Trent, sister Joan and brother-in-law Fred (Noreen).  Evelyn was predeceased by son Glen.  An extra special thank you to Dr. Bruce Hickey for his unending support and to his family for their kindness.  Thanks also to Jo-Anne Quigley, Tara Gault and Val Dawson for their care.

A service for Evelyn will be held on Friday April 4th at 1:00pm at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN, 5295 Thickson Road North, Whitby, ON.  Visitations to begin at Noon.  Light refreshments to follow the service. A private burial will be held for the family.

In her 91st year, peacefully at Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa, on Wednesday, March 26, 2008.  Born in Courtice, Doris was a long-time resident of Oshawa and a former employee of Simcoe Hall Settlement House.  Predeceased by her husband Walter, she is survived by her son Merle, his wife Mary Ellen and their three sons,  Andrew (Jenn),  David (Melissa) and Brian and three great-grandchildren Simon, Dillon and Myra. as well as sisters Lucille Pierson and Irma Hardy (Donald).  Doris and Walter were members of the Happy Doubles Club of Kingsview United Church and King Street Church before that, where they made many life-long friends.  Doris is  predeceased by sisters May Rutter, Evelyn Sweetman and Norma Short and brothers William and Charles.  She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in the Oshawa area.

March 7, 1909 - March 23, 2008 - Peacefully at Thortonview Long Term Care, Oshawa on Sunday March 23rd, 2008 in her 100th year.  Juliana immigrated to Canada from Switzerland in 1951 with her husband, Paul and their three children.  They settled on the family farm in Cardinal, Ontario, where Julie lived for 53 years prior to moving to Oshawa in 2004.  She is predeceased by her husband Paul and son Peter.  Juliana is survived by her daughters Irene Rosbottom (Arthur) and Ursula Welland (Robert); grandchildren Stephanie Benincasa (Carmine), Julie Green (Jarrett), Gregory Welland (Melanie), Lisa Welland and great grandson Bradley Welland.  Cremation has taken place and a private, family graveside service will be held at a later date in Cardinal, Ontario.

Passed away at her residence on Sunday March 23rd, 2008 in her 92nd year.  Dearly loved wife of Roy Ormiston and the late Glenn Reazin.  Much loved mother of Irwin (Irv) and his wife Gladys, Jeanne Koster, Ruth (Bill) Damant, and Bryan and his wife Susan.  Predeceased by Marion (Mern).  Grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 18.

Passed away peacefully following a long illness in his 90th year, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday March 20, 2008.  Survived by his loving family: wife Randi, children Karl and Lee, and son-in-law Russell. Beloved grandfather of Alex, Katie, Ryan and Gillian.  Jasper was born in Montreal, Quebec and served overseas with the R.C.A.F. during World War II.  He was a resident of Clarington for over 35 years and served as Local Councillor in Ward 1 in the former Town of Newcastle.

Born Sunday, March 16th, 2008 at Port Perry Hospital, passed away March 19th, 2008 at Women’s College Hospital in the arms of his mother Melissa and father Eric.  Little brother to Grace.  Cherished grandson to Cathy and Richard Juchau, Jack and Julie Brace and Ron and Susan Warner.  Dear nephew of Michelle (Michael), Bree (Geoff), Jason (Kim), Andrew (Joanna), Tyler, Samantha and their families.  The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Port Perry Hospital and NICU ward at Women’s College Hospital.

Suddenly at the Lakeridge Health System, Oshawa on Tuesday March 18, 2008. Betty Richards (nee Lawson) predeceased by Dr. Arnold (Rich) Richards.  Sister of Marjorie Munday and predeceased by her five brothers, Harold, Douglas, Arthur, Laurie and Ernie Lawson.  Betty will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. Passed away suddenly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Ontario on March 18th, 2008 at the age of 85.  He was a long time resident of Clarenville, Newfoundland and worked for 42 years with CN Rail before retiring in 1983.
